The Big News!

It's been so hard to keep it to myself! Mrs. Dave is pregnant with our second child! Woohooo! The baby is due Sept. 22, and will likely be born Sept. 18 because that's our OB's surgery day and Mrs. Dave will have a C-section. We're thrilled and can't wait. This one is putting Mrs. Dave through the wringer compared to our son. She's been very nauseous (but not sick) and a muscle in that area is objecting to the stretching demands, but it's nothing serious.

We heard the heartbeat at the doctor's office yesterday, nice and strong. As my son put it, "She's jumping up and down on the bed!" Everyone is predicting a girl because of how Heather feels (relatively lousy), but we don't know what the sex of the baby is, at least at this point.

We've got the crib bumper already, and Heather knows more or less what she wants to do in the nursery. We have to commence demolition of the current baseball decor and all the extra junk in there (our old mattress and box spring, clean out the closet, etc.). I've taken some of it down already, but not much. I'll post photos as we make progress.

But we're very excited and can't wait to meet our new addition. Odd thing with this one, when we were expecting our son, I was ready for the wait until he was born, but this one, I want it now, why wait? Oh, right, good thinking, babies don't do well out of the womb at this point. Ok, I'll wait patiently now...
